Trish Rydson - Swim Coach
 2008 Health First Olympic Triathlon Overall Winner & Team USA Age Group Team Member I started competitive swimming when I was 10. I was a high school All American for 3 years before swimming for the University of Kentucky. I coached high school swimming in Indiana for 8 years before having my 2 children. After the birth of my second child in 2004, I started running and completed my first half marathon when she was just 8 months old. From there, I was hooked on endurance sports. I completed my first triathlon in 2005. That summer, I joined Beachside Tri Camp for the first time. Since then, I have completed 5 half Ironmans and am looking forward to #6 in September. I really enjoy training for and competing in triathlons. My first goal for myself is to keep it fun. I think of triathlon as a chance to "go out and play." It is incredible how much triathlon has grown in popularity in the past few years. I love seeing people finish their first triathon or step up to a new distance that they haven't done before. I know the thrill they feel when they cross the finish line. My most memorable times of coaching swimming has been seeing the expression of joy on the face of an athlete when they've improved their best time or done something they never thought possible. While helping with the Beachside Camp, I'm looking forward to encouraging and helping triathletes as they work to complete their goals.
